If you don't want to ask a man out on a date directly you can use clever techniques to get him to ask you out instead! Itís simply a case of capturing his interest and then luring him in. Here is a simple checklist when beginning the process:
- Look great. All of the time.
- Laugh at his jokes. But only if they're funny.
- Make eye contact and smile. Hold his gaze a little longer than normal to show he has your interest.
- Make sure he knows you're popular. Meet friends where he can see you if possible.
- Do something little for him. Hold the door open or offer to make him a coffee.
- Drop hints. Mention a film you've heard is good, or a restaurant that's had good reviews.
- Look unavailable. Especially if you're single.
Once you have achieved your aim of getting a man to ask you out on a date, it's important to pull out all the stops to increase your chances of a second date - if you decide you want another date with him, of course! Use these handy hints to make the best of the first date situation.
Make an effort. Dress up and fix your hair, but make sure you don't look like you're trying too hard. Donít show too much skin or wear all of your makeup at once unless you want him to get the wrong idea about you.
Relax. Choose a first date location where you'll feel comfortable. It is also an idea to make it interesting for him - maybe take him to your favourite restaurant or museum - the more interesting the venue, the more interesting you will seem to him.
Be upbeat, but not too upbeat. You don't want to scare him off by being over the top about things, and men hate being rushed just as much as women do.
Be confident. Confidence is attractive to both males and females, in exactly the same way that arrogance is unattractive to both sexes.
Avoid sob stories and being too personal, especially on the first date. Conversations like "I've been hurt before" are a sure fire way of sending him running to the hills. Everybody has baggage but there's a time and a place to unload. This is not it!
Forget Instant chemistry. Don't believe the fantasy of falling wildly in love and getting swept away. Love and friendship can happen, but it takes time. Be realistic and take things slowly. Enjoy the moment and take pleasure from seeing your relationship progress.
